When she takes a chance on a second date with Greg, she gets more drama than she bargained for. After a shocking night, the morning offers new hope, but there's one more thing that could ruin it all...
This short story is roughly 8,400 words long and is not intended for readers under the age of eighteen.
We lay face to face until I grew too self-conscious and rolled over so we could spoon. After a couple of minutes, the inevitable happened and I felt him getting hard against my ass.
I lay still, waiting to see what he would do. Maybe he hadn't been thinking of me at all. Maybe he'd just wanted to get some before I went home. If that was the case, his fingers would soon slip underneath my t-shirt. I wouldn't mind. Not really.
But he held me like a perfect gentleman, doing nothing more than stroking my arms. It must say something about my personality, but knowing he didn't automatically expect me to do anything about his great big hard-on brought on a wet heat between my legs. I shouldn't have had such a low opinion of him. I guess I spend too much of my life preparing for disappointment.
I sat up in the bed and pulled off my t-shirt. There was nothing underneath.
Then he surprised me again. Instead of diving on me, he simply propped himself up on one elbow and said "You don't have to, Janelle."
He pulled me up short. There was plenty of physical evidence that he wanted me. I was offering myself up to him on a plate and he was holding back? "I want to." I leaned down to kiss him, moving his hand to my side as I parted his lips with my tongue. For a moment, he kissed me back, but then he pulled away.
"I don't want to take advantage of you. You were really upset last night."
I stroked his cheek. "Thank you for looking after me."
He turned his head to kiss my palm.
"But I'm not upset any more." Our eyes met and a burst of heat leapt between us.
The more I got to know him, the more I liked him. Leaning forward, I brought my lips within his reach. He took up the invitation, kissing me back down on to the mattress. Sliding my hands along his back, I guided him over to my side of the bed.
